T. L. Hart has recently completed the last of three assisted care facilities in the Dayton, Ohio area. This is one of many such facilities the firm has finished in the Michigan and Ohio regions. Unique in scope, the projects call for a specialized texture coating called Litex, a sprayed-on finish similar to cementitious-type coatings only with an acrylic base. Extremely durable, this coating required T. L. Hart to remove existing vinyl wall fabric, prepare and prime walls, apply the Litex, and then finish the process by spraying on a mildew-resistant paint coating - all while the facility was fully operational. The total amount of wall area coated with this specialty product on all three buildings was about 110,000 square feet.
